The ranger (Mira) is a character for an experienced veteran players that mastered in game combat mechanics. 
Her main feature in able to shooting arrows as special move by wielding bows using limited amount of arrows, which can be replenished in battle in various ways. In addition, ranger’s mechanics for some moves are significantly different from those of other characters, such as the jumping and tackle. So the attack button activates a jump strike only after the descent from air, which can potentially be used to perform series of air strikes at one jump, and tackle doesn’t knock opponents down, but passes through them, causing minor damage, and is designed to pull arrows out of enemy bodies (alive or dead!). 
 
The ranger can wield the following types of bows: 
– short bows (fast shooting); 
– long bows (slow shooting, but powerful shots – by default it is possible to pierce 1 enemy healthbar); 
– blade bows (a hybrid of a sword and a bow with medium shooting speed, and the most effective melee attacks and finishing moves).

The ranger has next skills in three branches: 
…..1.1) Shooting [1 skillpoint] – ranger shoots an arrow [activate: attack+block], that gets stuck if hit the target. To retrieve, use tackle move рейнджер [activate: attack button while running] {maximum arrows in a quiver = 3}; 
…..1.2а) Extra arrow [2 skillpoints] – adds 1 more arrow to ranger’s quiver {maximum arrows in a quiver = 4}; 
…..1.2б) Catch arrow [2 skillpoints] – ranger can perform a tackle move to snatch an arrow flying at her right from the air; 
…..1.3а) Fire arrow [4 skillpoints] – ranger may shoot fire-imbued arrow when standing next to fire sources (torches, bonfires). Adds 5% chance to ignite arrow without fire source; 
…..1.3б) Tame magic [4 skillpoints] – ranger may shoot lightning-imbued arrows when standing next to magic sources. Also she can now catch magic projectioles with tackle move; 
…..1.4) Power shot [8 skillpoints] – increases damage dealt by arrows by 20%. Also increases maximum damage up to 2 healthbars. 
 
…..2.1а) Slide [1 skillpoint] – ranger learns how to use movement momentum to slide along the ground (useful for dodginf arrows) [activate: dodge button while running]; 
…..2.1б) Dodge [1 skillpoint] – perform a quick dodge out of harm’s way [activate: dodge button]; 
…..2.2а) Toughness [2 skillpoints] – ranger is now more resistant to damage (+1 to vitality/health); 
…..2.2б) High jump [2 skillpoints] – ranger learns how to jump much higher [to perform high jump, press jump button while running]; 
…..2.3) Throw [4 skillpoints] – get close to the enemy and press attack to perform a quick throw; 
…..2.4) Quickshot [8 skillpoints] – use attack during your dodge to quickly shoot an arrow at your enemy [activate: attack button right after perform dodge move]. 
 
…..3.1) Call Falcon [1 skillpoint] – calls pet falcon to ranger’s aid once per minute. Falcon can bring some arrows [activate: space]; 
…..3.2) Melodic whistle [2 skillpoints] – ranger may now call upon her falcon more often (reduces cooldown to 30 seconds); 
…..3.3а) Falcon: Claws [4 skillpoints] – if falcon is called during the fight – it will attack enemies, dealing high damage; 
…..3.3б) Falcon: Rations [4 skillpoints] – if ranger’s quiver is full, out of battle falcon will bring some food to replenish health; 
…..3.4) Falcon: Blinding attack [8 skillpoints] – falcon’s attack now leave opponents blinded for some time {10 seconds}. 
 
It is highly recommended to unlock skill “Shooting” [1.1] when you get your first skillpoint, and upon obtaining the second skillpoint, unlock skill “Call Falcon” [3.1] for access to an additional possibility of replenishing arrows.

The following order of choosing skills for the ranger may be one of the most optimal options: 
…..1) when getting the first skillpoint, it is highly recommended to select “Shooting” [1.1] skill to realize the main potential of the ranger through firing arrows as soon as possible; 
…..2) having received the second skillpoint the choice “Call Falcon [3.1] will provide an opportunity to replenish the quiver in case all arrows are used up and there is no way to pull them out of the enemies; 
…..3) having received the third skillpoint, the choice “Slide” [2.1a] will greatly simplify the battles with enemy archers and mages. 
 
The effectiveness of the further skill built of the ranger can greatly depend on the type of bow chosen, for example: 
– for a short bow, the most appropriate choice would be to select all skills in the upper branch, since skill “Power shot” [1.4] that greatly increases its efficiency; 
– if close combat with a short bow or long bow doesn’t cause inconvenience for player, then the most optimal to choose skills in middle branch. It’s worth noting that skill “Quickshot” [2.4] provides maximum effectiveness for a long bow; 
– if player want to focus on active close combat using a blade bow, then the middle branch of skills will also significantly increase the number of possible techniques and simplify the use of ranged attacks, however, the emphasis on the lower branch (representing falcon’s skills), will significantly help in fights and provide the best control the battlefield.
