A Quick step-by-step guide on how to swap characters while playing co-op with a buddy.
 
 

Step 1:

Decide on the level you’d like to play.
 
 

 
 
 

Step 2:

Load into the level and hit pause. Have the second player drop out.
 
 

 

 
 
 

Step 3:

Hit L.CTRL (Or whatever button you have Swap Character bounded to) to swap to your desired character.
 
 
I want to be Sanford, so I hit L.CTRL to swap.
 
 

 
 

 
 
 

Step 4:

Have the Second player join afterwards!
 
 

 
 
Now I can play as Sanford and they can play Deimos!
