Enabling the console
In order to play as the Ranger class, we’ll need to use the console. Go to My Documents\Almost Human\Legend Of Grimrock, then open the grimrock.CFG file and look for the line that says “console = false”. Change “false” to “true”. The next line should read “consolekey = 220”. You can keep it as that or set it to whatever you want, but I prefer “192”. This will set the console to use the tilde (`) key.
Playing as the class
After the console is enabled, you can launch the game. Then, start a new game, create characters, and when you get to the character selection screen, hit the tilde (`) key to open up the console. Then copy and paste this:
party:getChampion(x):setClass(“Ranger”)
Be sure to replace the x with the number of the party member you want to be that class, from top to bottom. So if you want your second character to be the Ranger class, then replace x with 2.
Press enter, and if done right it should look like below:
You’ll notice none of the three classes are highlighted, and the skills are the proper Ranger skills.
After that just customize your characters as normal and you’re ready to adventure. Though keep in mind in order for your Ranger to actually cast spells he’ll need one point in Spellcraft (Rangers can’t cast with their bare hands).
