Introduction

Welcome, If you thought this game was dead, youd be partially correct. This is a summons to all fans of this game to perform nechromancy. To start ive decided to create this combo guide for new players to learn. I myself am a new player at the time of writing this so i hope that the community sees this so we can work together to make this game more mainstream.
 
 
I will be formating the combos as shown below
 
 
X->upX
 
 
the arrow shows what you should string it into
 
 
and since im using a controler
 
 
X is attack
 
 
A is jump
 
 
Rt is shield
 
 
and Lt is dash
 
 
its a basic format that should catch on really quick
 
 
I will also title each combo because I can
 
 
If a combo requires a bit of arial maneuvering ill put it in the description of said combo
 
 
 

Dagger

the knife is a fast weapon, and more importantly you can switch directions immediately after dashing, making it extremely versatile for reading. the stats are on the website so lets get right into a quick combo
 
 
The knee cutter
 
A->X->upX
 
This combo is good for ledges, the jump will get you over the ledge, and with the extra momentum you can string in the uppercut.
 
 
Filetting
 
A->downX->upX
 
This combo doesn’t bypass shields unless you are somehow able to cover the lost ground after swapping the direction of your attack to bypass shield.
 
 
Julienne
 
sideX->sideX
 
Can be comboed infinitely, but only reliable for the first two hits. After that, it’s a better bet to combo into the brunoise (see below).
 
 
Brunoise
 
downX->X
 
basically a free combo when in close proximity for extra damage. The additional upX gives extra damage, but you’ll have to commit since its pretty hard to land. You can even start this combo from a jump.
 
 
Now You See Me
 
sideX->dash->downX->upX
 
This combo can be jumped out of, but if they try dashing out of it, they’ll get caught. You have to turn around immediately after the dash to land the downX. It works wonders and highlights one of the dagger’s greatest features – that you can turn around immediately after dashing.
 
 
NOTABLE COUNTERS:
 
– Spear: While spear far outclasses it in range, it far outclasses spear in speed. In truth, they counter each other, but that just makes matches between a dagger and spear more exciting.
 
 
 

Axe

you can think of this ax like ganondorf from ssbu
 
 
FUSRODAH
 
A->X->Lt->upX
 
This is a fun combo that can be used to get behind your opponent, the A is only for getting behind the opponent who is shielding. if the opponent is not shielding you can use this combo with the flying fare or ground pound
 
 
ground pound
 
A->downX->A->X
 
This combo only works when you have passed the opponent and are directly above and behind the opponent. You also need to hold left when doing the second jump, replacing the final X with upX shoots the opponent even higher. you can also ignore the first A.
 
 
flying fare
 
upX->A->X
 
requires you to be using momentum in jump to follow opponent. can also be used when under their platform and can jump onto it.
 
 
I had a lot of fun with these combos, they work really well together, with the frog character you can theoretically combine the end of Fusrodah with the beginning of flying fare.
 
 
NOTABLE COUNTERS:
 
Knife: with its fast attacks they can out pace you and get behind really quickly
 
 
 

Spear

rising cut
 
upX->upX
 
free hits lol
 
 
Inpaler
 
A->downX->X
 
 
Shield bypass
 
A->downX
 
can only work when directly behind opponent
 
 
you’ll only need these two things with the spear.
 
 
NOTABLE COUNTERS:
 
Ax- the ax with its large area of attack can counter the spears really precise pokes
 
 
A spear- the spear can counter spear, dunno why but it just works lol.
 
 
 

Sword

X->upX
 
works every time
 
 
downX->upx
 
you can add another X at the end if perfectly timed
 
 
Sword cross
 
X->A->downX->upX
 
This is funny combo, use as you like, upX might not hit since they have time to dodge out there
 
 
you can get rid of the a->downX to make it harder for them to dodge
 
you also dont need the first X to start this combo
 
 
like the spear this combo is modular and is basically the only one you need
 
 
 

Fist

Fury Fists
 
SideX->X->X
 
Fists is the only weapon with directional and neutral move. so stringing sideX allows you to then add 2X’s.
 
 
Body slam
 
DownX->A->SideX
 
you can start it with a A as well
 
 
Juggle slam
 
A->UpX->A->DownX->SideX
 
really fun combo, can be done to shield bypass when directly behind opponent.
 
 
 

Conclusion

The combos work in game, you can use them to your hearts content, obviously they require skill to pull off and some reading to land, but if you get them down, youll be able to beat most opponents. (watch out for the pope, he destroys with the knife)
