A trick that worked for me after accidentally using a hint late game, this involved moving a few files around.
 
 

Intro

If you accidentally used a hint by button spamming on a controller or misclicking, this fix will potentially recover your run through the game. You will still need to finish it 100%, then you will have to follow the steps below.
 
 
Do note that this fix was done on Windows 10 so it should work on other versions of windows as well.
 
 
 

How to Recover From This

1) SAVE FOLDER
 
*The game should be closed while you do this* First you will have to locate the save for the game, which for me was located here in the steam directory:
 
 
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\”USERNUMBER”\427820\remote

Your steam install location may be in another drive or somewhere else custom.
 
 
If you are in the “userdata” folder and it has multiple folders with numbers in it, use the search bar in the top right or press CTRL+F and search for “427820” and you should find the file, then simply open the “remote” file inside it. Otherwise if there is only one file in there open that and find the folder “427820” and then open “remote”.
 
 

 
 
2) BACKUP
 
Make a backup of all the files inside. For me there were 5. Make a folder here, or on your desktop, and copy all of these files into the folder.
 
 
Do not close this, you will need this for later.
 
 
3) RESET
 
Start the game and immediately go to settings. Find the option to reset game and then confirm afterwards.
 
 

 
 
You may want to finish the first level, 1-1, unsure if it still works without doing that. Then close the game.
 
 
4) REPLACE
 
Return to the folder where your backup files are. Select all of the files except for “data01.dat”, then copy them and paste these files into the “remote” folder where the game save is originally located. So data02, -03, -04, and -05 should replace the files in “remote” with the same name.
 
 
5) PLAY
 
Now you start the game and the achievement should pop up shortly. If it does not pop up, make sure that every single level has been completed and that you have 263 points in the bottom right corner of the level select screen. Worst case scenario you WILL have to reset the game and beat it again, or find a 100% save on the internet and replace the files in the “remote” folder with them.
