A lot of people with surround headphones that register as 7.1 surround devices, have trouble hearing the rear channels in-game. The main solution is uninstallin the headphone software and using default Windows drivers. I didn’t like it so I’ve found a better solution which is easy to disable if needed.
 
 

The problem

A lot of people with surround headphones that register as 7.1 surround devices, have trouble hearing the rear channels in-game. There are some workarounds like uninstalling the software for the product and forcing default usb drivers; but I didn’t like that at all (because I use Logitech G Hub for more than my headphones).
 
 
So I’ve found a workaround that, in my opinion, isn’t as bad as completely uninstalling accompanying software and running your sweet headset on default USB drivers. If you do that, you can’t switch back to the full experience if you are playing a different game. My workaround makes it possible to quickly ‘disable’ the workaround if you don’t need it (not playing Halo).
