The current version of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (v3.0) brings with it many problems, such as incompatibilities with mods, removed soundtrack, problems with modern operating systems, etc. Modifications like SA-MP or Multi-Theft-Auto are also incompatible with the 3.0 version.
This guide aims to easily fix those issues without altering the original Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas experience.
Also, with these mods you can start the game normally from Steam and record your playing time.
All the fixes shown in this guide can be downloaded from their original sources.
Install the mods in the order shown in this guide to avoid problems. Remember to always have a backup of your GTA San Andreas before modding.
Before you start fixing the game, you must first downgrade Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas to version 1.0, in order to get rid of the problems of the Steam version. I highly recommend that you do it in a clean installation of your GTA San Andreas, and as always, have a backup of the game in case you have any problem related to the game files.
The process is simple. Click the link and go to the Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas – RGSC / Steam to v1 section and download the file.
gtaforums.com – https://gtaforums.com/topic/936600-iii-iv-various-gta-downgraders/
Extract the rar file into the game folder, then run “install.bat”. The downgrade process will start, and a command prompt will open. It will close automatically at the end of the process. The files you extracted earlier will be automatically deleted.
Then delete the files “installscript.vdf” and “gta-sa-steam.exe”, as they will be useless and may cause errors.
Your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas copy is now downgraded to version 1.0. This means that the original radios are restored and that the game is ready to be further fixed.
Silent’s ASI Loader
The next step is to install Silent’s ASI Loader, two DLL’s that will allow us to install various plugins for the game.

To correct the error causing the loading bar to be misaligned with the game logo during loadscreens with a 16:9 monitor, edit the following parameters in GTASA.WidescreenFix.ini.
If you have a 4:3 screen and you downloaded the version of the mod for that aspect ratio, put 4:3 instead of 16:9.
ForceAspectRatio = 16:9 FrontendAspectRatio = 16:9
