This is a guide on how to beat nights 1-4 in fnaf 4. I have only beaten nights 1-3 but night 4 should be the same but just harder.

Introduction

Although I haven’t beaten nights 4-8, I have beaten 1-3. I also am not the best at this game but I’ll try my best to help.

Difficulty and Chart

Unlike the other fnaf games, fnaf 4 is extremely reliant on sound in fact, it would probably be impossible without sound.

1. Getting your sweet spot volume
Sound is very important as said before. You will need a pair of headphones to play. Recommended surround sound headphones. You can still use stereo headphones to play though. If you have stereo and your computer supports Nahimic (check their and you PC manufacturers website) install it if it isn’t already and enable simulated surround sound. The sweet spot volume will depend on your headphones. The crickets when you start the game for the first time don’t help as the in-game sounds are really faint compared to the crickets. I would say 50 volume to start and then adjust it when watching YouTuber’s play. You should be able to hear breathing and the footsteps clearly with having your eardrums blown out by the jumpscares.

2. Difficulty
The difficulty spike in this game is much larger than the previous game’s. The chart below will show you a rough image of my experience.

Controls

You will start is the bedroom with the closet in front of you with the 2 doors on the left and right. The way I tell you how to get to a location is assuming you are in the bedroom.

The Bed
If you flick your mouse down you will turn to the bed. Press Control to use the flashlight. Flick your mouse back down to return to the bedroom.

The Closet
Click on the closet to run to it. Use Shift to close the closet. Use Control to shine your light. Flick your mouse down to return to the bedroom.

The 2 Doors
Click on either door to run to it. Use Shift to close the current door you are at. Press Control to shine your light.

Animatronics

Please look at the Controls section to find where locations are.

Freddy
The Freddles(little freddys) will accumulate on your Bed. Use your flashlight to deter them from your bed. If there are 3 Freddles to too long, you will get jumpscared by Nightmare Freddy.

Bonnie
He will approach the left door with footsteps. Refer to Difficulty and Chart to find your sweet spot volume. When you hear his footsteps from your Left headphone run to the left door and listen for 4 seconds for breathing. If there is no breathing, shine your light and if bonnie peeks around the corner he is reset. If he doesn’t peek around then you didn’t hear footsteps and were hearing someone/something else. If there is breathing at the door then close it until you hear footsteps from the left ear.

Chica
She will approach the right door with footsteps. Refer to Difficulty and Chart to find your sweet spot volume. When you hear her footsteps from your Right headphone run to the right door and listen for 4 seconds for breathing. If there is no breathing, shine your light and if chica peeks around the corner she is reset. If she doesn’t peek around then you didn’t hear footsteps and were hearing someone/something else. If there is breathing at the door then close it until you hear footsteps from the right ear. Chica may go into the Kitchen from time to time and you will hear pots and pans clanking when she is in the kitchen.

Foxy
He will start attacking on night 2. You will hear running from left to right and right to left. After a while he will run down a hall and you will know this because the running(not footsteps) doesn’t move from each hallway. I advise that you run to the hallway he was at, listen for breathing, and shine your light and you will see foxy at the end of the hall. Make sure to take bonnie and chica into consideration while dealing with foxy. If foxy gets into your room don’t panic, he doesn’t attack if he gets in or at the doors. When he gets in, he will enter the closet. When he enters it, run to it and shine your light, he may give you a fake jumpscare that won’t kill you. If it doesn’t happen the first time, it will happen another time. Then close and open the door leaving 2 seconds in between openings. There are 4 phase starting at aggressive to passive 4:Foxy will have his snout poking out of the closet 3: Foxy will be sitting down in the closet 2: Foxy is standing with his hook in clear view 1: he is a plushie. Try to keep him as a plushie. Foxy will attack if he is in stage 4 for too long. He will also attack if you stare at the bed for too long on night 1.

Nights

Night 1
Everything is chill. Nothing will happen from 12-2 AM. Sometimes nothing will happen until 3,4,5 AM. You will see the freddles will accumulate very slowly. Bonnie and Chica are not very active but can still attack you.

Night 2
Everything has a huge spike in difficulty and Freddles will accumulate much faster and Bonnie and Chica are aggressive. Foxy is also in this night. You have better studied the previous sections for this and the next nights.

Night 3
Everything happens so fast so you better be able to navigate the room fast and have mastered Bonnie, Chica, and Freddy. Foxy may need some work but you should be ale to learn him in night 3 and he moves from phases pretty quickly.

Night 4
I haven’t tried this yet but I assume it is pretty hard.

End

Thanks for reading this guide that took me probably 30 minutes to write(maybe 40) I hope this helped.
