I have found lately that there still isn’t an up-to-date definitive transformation stat list for Xenoverse 2 that lists ALL benefits and drawbacks of each form. Most youtubers or forum sites just say the main benefits, but don’t cover everything. For example, I always thought that Super Saiyan forms have a stamina recovery debuff as well as a ki debuff, but apparently that’s just Super Saiyan 3. So to clear up any further confusion, I put this information together myself in the hopes that it is more accessible and more google-able in the future.

(Note: this list is 95% the work of DemonBoy, who is an absolute legend in the Xenoverse community. I simply added my own notes to it and organized it for greater clarity. I also wanted to make it easier to google as I forget where to find this information every 5 months or so).

Widely regarded as the worst awoken in the game-> It is an unconventional awoken that changes earthling combos in a manner that is unintuitive and inconsistent with regular gameplay. It is a difficult skill to extract meaningful damage from, does not utilize any of the strengths of earthling playstyles, and it is easy to get knocked out of.

Additional Notes/Speculations

Some cast characters seem to have different transformation rules. For example, Gohan’s version of Potential unleashed seems to be more similar to SSJ3 than the CaC version, as Gohan has the same standing posture and reduced stamina recovery. Base Gogeta (DBS) has a version of Super Saiyan that seems to boost his stats much more than regular SSJ does (closer to SSB/SSBE damage tier but with reduced stamina recovery).
