This guide is for Nvidia Graphics Card users. Maybe the Radeon Settings are similar but i don’t know.
 
Easy settings no need for download anything.
 
 

Nvidia Settings

1. Step
 
 
Simply right/click anywhere on your desktop and open “Nvidia Control Panel”
 
 
2. Step
 
 
Navigate to Manage 3D settings
 
 
then
 
 
go from Global Settings to Program Settings
 
 
then
 
 
choose DayZ (dayz_x64.exe)
 
 
and switch
 
 
Max Frame Rate from default “59” to either “Off”
 
( which i wouldn’t recommend, because your PC will pump FPS like there’s no tomorrow)
 
 
or
 
 
Max Frame Rate from default “59” to “144” ( if your screen has 144hz) or “165” ( if your screen has 165hz) or “240” etc. …

I also switched the option “Vertical sync” from “Off” to “Fast” because this helped me at an other game to break the 60fps limit…
 
 
After you did this u can just close the Nvidia Control Panel and your FPS in DayZ should be way above 60 or just the framerate you chose to match the Hz of your screen.
