You're trying to complete this game but having trouble with the Bishops? I have a guide that will help you with persistence and luck.

Setup

First, I recommend that you have finished the main story. The setup we'll be using will force your cult to go it alone for three days, depending on your luck.

If you have the fasting ritual, perform it before you go on a trip to make a bishop. You may find it more difficult to perform the fasting ritual if you don't have it. In your absence, performing the brainwashing ritual can help to keep your cult unified.

You will also need unlock every tarot deck that contains curse buffs. The fleece we will use for this strategy is the Fleece of the Glass Cannon. Technically, the Golden Fleece works better but has a higher skill cap. The strategy I will be explaining is more luck dependent, but it can be easily replicated for people of all skill levels. If you feel confident with the skill level, you can use the Golden Fleece.

The Build

This strategy will be used again with the Fleece of the Glass Cannon. You may also want to temporarily reduce the difficulty to easy if you are having trouble. I have been able to reproduce this strategy on Very Hard. However, it feels a bit luckier on that setting.

Prioritize weapon swaps and tarot card cards during the run. You will need anything that can buff curses for tarot card. The most important cards are those that reduce Fervor costs for casting Curses, buff Curse Damage, and gradually replenish Fervor.

We are looking to equip Hounds of Fate. This Curse is at the highest level that we can manage, but a low level Hounds of Fate would be better than any other Curse. We are looking to equip Hounds of Fate because of three reasons.

1. It fires multiple projectiles, which scale independently from the Curse buffs gained from your Fleece as well as any cards you are able.

2. It has homing so that you cannot miss very easily. Although this homing is not as good in regular combat rooms, the large hit box of all Bishops makes it difficult for these projectiles miss.

3. You don't need to aim this attack. Instead, you can press the Curse button to quickly fire the Curse and swarm your Bishop.

This is not a risky spell, although I'm sure there are others that can do it.

The Fight

Now that you have all the information we need, let's get into the actual fights. First, how do we fight these men after the main story is over.

If you didn’t know, killing a bishop will give you a buff that will allow you to loop the dungeon up three times. These changes are not the only ones. You can also break the devotion statues that the Bishops have placed on you. Doing so will open a portal that will allow you access to a rematch of each Bishop.

It is important that you know that your fight against the Bishops will end your run and you will be sent back to Cult. These fights are only possible once per visit. Only enter fights if your body is ready.

Enter the fight with all your Fervor. As soon as the fight starts, grab the bottom of the arena. Then smash the Curse key as fast as possible. If you have enough Curse buffs, your boss should be dead by time you run out Fervor. You have two options if the boss is still alive and you didn't prepare well enough. If you got the card that gradually refills your Fervor, you can concentrate on dodging until enough Fervor is available to nuke the boss. But if you don't have enough Fervor, you will have to take some risks. Daggers are a good choice as they can be quickly used to get Fervor. Although it is risky, killing adds will give you some Fervor if you are able to do it.

Conclusion

It will take some practice to get this strategy right but it is possible with enough effort. Have fun and enjoy your 100% completion!
