CS:GO players are often used to playing on the same settings. These settings include graphic settings, mouse sensitivity, crosshairs and more. For the best performance, players prefer to play with the same settings even if they are on a different account. Here is a quick guide to copy your CS:GO settings from one account to another.

How to Copy CS:GO Settings to a Second Account?

CS:GO players don’t need to change each setting once they switch accounts. If you are playing on a friend’s CS:GO account, you can easily copy your configuration to another account. This process will guide you on how to copy settings, including graphics, mouse sensitivity and more.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to copying CS:GO settings from one account to another.

The first step is to go to https://steamidfinder.com/. This website will give you your ID details.
Enter SteamID or URL in the dialog box.

Copy your steamID3 details. Save it for future use.

Repeat the process for both the CS:GO accounts (the one with your settings and the other account is one where you want to use these settings).

After you have noted down the steamID3 for both the accounts, head over to the CS:GO destination folder.

By default, the folder for CS:GO is in “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam”. Once you have located the Steam folder, you can go deeper to find your CFG (configuration) file. Here are the steps to copy the CFG folder from the first account.

Steam>userdata> “steamID3” (1)>730>local>cfg

• Open the Steam folder
• Open the userdata folder
• You will see multiple folders with numbers. Click on the folder with a number that matches your steamID 3 number.
• Click on 730 (this is the game code for CS:GO)
• Click on local
• Right-click and copy the CFG folder

CS:GO players should then go through the following steps to copy the settings to another account.

Steam>userdata> “steamID3”(2) >730>local

Retracing the steps mentioned earlier, you should not select the folder with the steamID3 number of the second account (the account where you want to change the settings).

• Open Folder 730
• Open the local folder
• Delete the CFG folder
• Paste the previously copied CFG folder

Following every step of this guide will copy your settings from one account to another.
