The Setup

Step 1. Have a controller plugged in.
 
Step 2. Configure both joysticks to “Directional Pad”
 
Step 3. Bind every part to Mouse 1 Click

Step 4. Hover your mouse over the cookie and spin your joysticks like no tomorrow!
 
 
 

Reasoning

Personally I find this better than clicking rapidly or bothering with an autoclicker or Mouse Keys.
