This brief guide describes each of the control settings for Clans to Kingdoms.

Accessing and using the menu

Ensure all your control hardware is plugged in before starting the game (mouse, keyboard and optionally joystick). To access the control settings menu click the button ‘Control Settings’ in the start menu (framed in the next image).

Once at this menu you can scroll up/down by using the arrows/bar on the right or using the mouse scroll wheel.

The buttons that are grayed cannot be changed. To change a command press the button containing the current command (for instance the forward key <W>), then press the new key, mouse button or joystick button/axis you want to assign to this command (for instance key ‘E’) as pictured in the next image.

When the key/mouse button/joystick button is already assigned to another command the assignments will be swapped.

To save/discard the changes made to the control settings, fixed, at the bottom of the menu, you have two buttons:

Ok saves the settings and returns to the start menu.

Cancel discards the settings and returns to the start menu.

Clans to Kingdoms Control Settings

Scroll using Screen Edge when on (ticked) the camera moves when you move the mouse to the screen edges, while when off (unticked) the camera only moves by using the keyboard

Mouse Acceleration when on (ticked) the mouse starts moves slow and then increases speed while when off (unticked) the mouse always moves at the same speed (off is recomended for lower specification systems)

Mouse and Joystick Sensitivity decreases (by moving the bar to the left) or increases (by moving the bar to the right) the speed of movement of the mouse pointer

Joystick

Please note that this game is originally not intended to play with joystick, however if you want to try it you can redefine all controls for the joystick as long as it is detected (must be plugged before starting the game).
Clans to Kingdoms Control Settings

In the main menus only the mouse and keyboard commands are active, while in-game the keyboard and mouse buttons will still be active simultaneously with the joystick commands.

There is currently a known bug so that the joystick does only fully works with ‘Mouse Acceleration’ turned on (we will sort it as soon as possible).

In-Game Settings

The control settings can be changed while playing, to access the in-game control settings menu, access the ‘Game Menu’ (press <Esc> while in the world or click the text ‘Game Menu’ on the top pane), click the button ‘Settings’ and click the tab ‘Controls’. This menu is shown in the next image.
