To be more specific, after you PARRY an enemy called “Tizona”, the enemy will be stuck at a particular place (usually in the right zone), unable take damage. Therefore, locking you into that place.

You can return to the checkpoint you last saved by using the spell “Mirabras of the returning to port/Mirabras of the returning to the port”. If you don’t have enough Fervour in order to cast the spell, you can instead use “Blood Penance”, which will force you to sacrifice 100 tears of forgiveness and your character’s health for Fervour.
