This guide will demonstrate how to disable mouse acceleration as well how to make Bioshock 2's Multiplayer more responsive.
Step 1
Go to the home screen of your computer.
Press Windows + R on your keyboard
Type %appdata%, then hit OK
Double click the folder named Bioshock2Steam.
Scroll down until the bottom to find UserMP.ini.
Right click UserMP.ini and select Open With. Next, select Notepad
Step 2 (Sensitivity Adjust)
You should now be using Notepad to create a document that looks something like this:
Press F on your keyboard by pressing CTRL + F
This should open a search bar for words
Type aMouse
Change the Speed value of aMouseX or aMouseY from 2,000 to 200.0
Now, click the down arrow on the search bar.
This should lead you to the next value you need to change.
Do this for all aMouse values (. There are a total 10 values of 2000.0 that must change to 200.0.
Now, the mouse acceleration has been adjusted to the correct level.
Step 3 (Disabling Mouse Acceleration e17Y
You should continue with the last step, but still be in the notepad.
Now, in the same search box as before, delete the mouse and instead type W=Move.
Note:
If it says that it cannot find, press the up or down arrows next to the search bar.
If it fails to find it, scroll down slowly until you see the W=MoveForward icon on the left.
It should look like this
Now copy the following line and ensure that you keep the space at start! !
set Engine.PlayerInput MouseSmoothingMode 0.0
Now paste that right after the W=MoveForward line in a notepad
It should look like the following:
