All that you need to know for play Banished:Colonial Chart 1.7.
A lot of people says that do not have a decent manual about how to do inside this game, which drives them lost throughout the game play. So I decided to create a manual include all that I know and learn about this mod and how to make your city evolved and upgraded at same time focusing on mod design and peculiarities.
I’m Brazilian guy, so I do not have any idea if my English grammar is correct, and I do not really care. However, all mistakes, correction or suggestion could be send to me for improve this guide.
This first part is about the ” first things first” you need to know on mod until your first sustainable city.
The second part will be about industry and some advanced efforts.
The third and final part should be about advanced houses and progress the city to a broader future.
Or I will merge all those inside only one guide. I do not know, but let me know about what do you think.
Before you start!
Before initiate the tutorial, should be better you install this mod if you do not have install yet for any reason. Here is the link for steam workshop containing this mod.
So now, welcome to Banished menu. Click on mod part and activate the mod for really change your game. After click Ok, may you game can crash ou later to response. Do not care, this only means that the mod are being installed.
Click on New Game, and let’s explore the possibilities created by this mod. On main menu we already can see some differences for vanilla menu. This mod improve our start options gave us new terrain types and sizes, climate and starting conditions to choose.
For terrain types we can see diverses new addons, all are detached by a [CC] code before the type. I’ll choose Swamp Lakes because I wanna avarage flat terrain together with some rivers and lakes.
I decide to put Large size of my terrain and creates a [CC] Marine climate which join a warmful temperature on summer and snow and cold on winter which improve the games challenges.
The starting condition have a lot of new possibilities which creates diversities of gameplays and I really recommend that you look all options of mod because some conditions requires specifics terrain types and climate. For example for Antilles starting it is highly recommend that you use a desert or beach type together with a climate with low snow or no snow.
Probably the most difficult condition it is Adam and Eve, because you need to wait a long time before really have a village to call own. I choose vanilla Medium condition because I think that it is some kind of a hack the [CC] Medium starting because you have one livestock free, and you know, I like of challenges and I wanna make this game more different. I already play this mod other two times, and both I use this option with livestock free, but at this time I would like to a more challenge on food and textile use and production.
All the choices that I made was made following the voices inside my head, so I really recommend that you think more about your conditions and make some different options each time that you restart your game. I change name of my city for “Ruela’s Town” and the seed of my vilage looking for a number that started with 7, as the voices ordered me. Once more, the voices of my head creates this pattern, so hear the voices inside your head when you fill this part.
After make all your choices, click on OK and let start the game.
