Introduction
I don’t normally create guides but after discovering the the control mapping by default was all over the place I decided I should for this game as it is a favourite of mine.
The Xbox one controller can be mapped without too much messing about. if you find that your controller doesn’t work at all make sure the controls are not set to keyboard and mouse as that comes set up as default.
Controller Mapping
The controls I use are listed below
Left bumper- Target lock
Right Bumper – High/low profile (hold for high) / jog
Select – Map
Start- Pause (note pressing this will unpause the game when you bind it but it should accept the binding)
Left analogue – Movement
Right Analogue – Cam
X – Attack / counter (counter comes up when holding the profile button)
A – blend (low profile) Sprint / free run (high profile)
B- gentle push / grab (low/high profile)
Y- Eagle Vision / Listen (Listen when locked on investigation target)
The directional pad I did not touch as it seemed to be already perfectly mapped to where the controls should be for that.
That’s the full list of controls there are in the game and I’ve been able to play perfectly without issue and completed the first assassination target with this set up and the controls feel just as fluid as I remember it being back in 2007.
I hope this helps and I wish you all well. Happy hunting.
