Note: If you are out of date, update Among Us to the latest version.
 
 
 

Extract ZIP File to the game

Ubuntu has Archive Manager pre-installed.
 
Click "Extract", to go to the following path:.steam > root> steamapps> common> Click "Extract".
 
If Archive Manager isn't installed, install the "unzip” utility.
 
 
Debian is built on:
 
 
sudo apt unzip y
 
 
Arch Linux Based:
 
 
sudo pacman -S unzip
 
 
Then. Enter terminal (to rename /path/to/archive the path to your archive)
 
 
unzip /path/to/archive ~/.steam/root/steamapps/common/Among\ Us
 
 
 

Modify Configure Game

Before you can play mod there is some configuration.
 
You must enable winhttp within the prefix for the game.
 
 
Install protontricks
 
 
Ubuntu requires that multiverse repository be enabled. Enter terminal to confirm:
 
 
sudo apt-add-repository multiverse
 
 
Install protontricks
 
 
sudo apt install protontricks -y –no-install-recommends
 
 
On arch linux based,
The AUR – Archlinux.org has protontricks.
 
 
 
Now, run protontricks:
 
 
protontricks –gui
 
 
Double-click on "Among Us", then click on "Select the default suffix", click Run winecfg.
 
Input "Libraries", type winhttp and click "Add", "Apply", and then close the window.
 
 
Notice: You might get a warning about 64 bit prefix. If you don't want to listen, just press OK.
