Finding the Mod for You

Okay, you want to take a step further in the game and mod it. That’s cool but, you got to find the mod that fits you perfectly. So, what you want to do is go to this forum site – [ageofcivilizationsgame.com]  so that you can find something that looks really good and something you will have fun with. If you want, you can download some extra mods!
 
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SITE IS FULL OF BOTS TRYING TO REPOST MODS TO GIVE YOU VIRUSES, ONLY DOWNLOAD FROM THE OFFICIAL MOD MAKERS
 
 

 
 
 

Getting it Actually Downloaded

Since you have (assuming) found a mod that you would like to play. How do I actually download it?
 
Well, if you don’t know this will be the section for you! If you already know how to do this then just skip right ahead to the 2nd part of downloading.
 
 
So, we will be using the Age of Imperialism Mod – [ageofcivilizationsgame.com]  for this as an example.
 
 
After you have read any instructions and details about the mod you will find the download file for the right platform. Since this mod we are using as an example is on a Google Drive it will mention that it will be too big to scan for viruses. Just skip this as its is a safe download. (AKA, press “Download anyways”) Let it download and after it is done You will need to do the following:
 
 
If you are on Android, you should just be able to play it after it is done downloading!

Getting it Actually Downloaded (Part 2)

Okay, now the file is downloaded but, how do I access it and actually get to playing? Simple. If you don’t have any app like WinRAR, it doesn’t matter because having WinRAR (or something similar) because All you have to do is
 
-Right click on file
 
-Click extract
 
-select the place you want it to extract to (if you just want it in the Downloads sections or the same place that it is, leave it alone)
 
-wait for extraction to be completed.
 
-After it is extracted, open the file and open the .exe
 
 
And BOOM! you have downloaded a mod!!! Congrats! now have fun!

How to Extract if WinRAR is Being Used

If you have WinRAR then this is the right section for you.
 
Follow these steps…
 
 
-open file using WinRAR
 
-Click on file containing the files for the game (don’t open it, only click once so it selects it)
 
-Click on Extract To
 
-Wait for extraction to finish
 
-open new, extracted, file and open the .exe!
 
 
BOOM! you have now installed a mod for this game!!!!! Have fun!
