Introduction..

Hi,

Welcome to my “13” guide, also probably the first walkthrough guide for
“A Trip to Yugoslavia : Director’s Cut“. =)

I hope you know the basic controls of the games since I will only refer them as they are.
Also please note that some scenes are described as what they are on screen, so either you need to play while using this guide or need a very good memory of the game. For example we can call the first scene where you need to crawl and pick a knife from soldiers boot, I might just refer that scene as first scene where you pick the knife and such as. So please take a note on environment as you play. I will try my best to put screen shots on specific locations to help you.

PLEASE NOTE

1. This is a guide in progress as playing, so might take time to complete because IT IS INCOMPLETEyet.
2. The QTE (Quick Time Events) keys might change in your gameplay. It happened to me in my various gameplays.
3. I highly recommend to read the guidebeforeyou play. Since there are several paths and outcomes.
4. Also there might be some typo errors and such etc.. etc, English is NOT my first language. =)

First easy achievements,
“Toilet break – That’s why he’s moving like that. He needs a few minutes.” After the game starts pause the video and afk for a minute.

“Not the sharpest knife in the drawer – Die three times during tutorial.” Well achievement explains itself.

1. After you crawl near the guard press “Up” key when prompt (when touching the knife on boot) It will trigger a cut scene. The first achievement, “Welcome to Yugoslavia – Meet your inevitable end” will pop when you lose above instruction, game automatically drops it so you will get it eventually.

2. When ask what to do with the two guards, Choose whatever you want. When walking behind thebuilding when prompt press “Right” arrow to avoid walking on the tree branch.“On the loose – Escape from the building” will pop now.

3. Now for the peeing soldier, you will be given a choice to snag the soldier’s rifle or to attack him barehanded. If you pick the option to snag his weapon, then pause the video after 1-2 seconds. You should see a cameraman shadow somewhere. This will give you “Bad lighting -Fine, you got me…” achievement.

4. Then in 4 roomed building there are several ‘graffity’ which requires for “Invasion – Find all the little aliens. You can interact with 12 of them. Group counts as well!”. I found seven of them there.

5. Now here’s the tricky part. Camera spawns differently for each playthrough. So it could be in the building, behind it, In dirt, near rocks or in forest. It depends. So what ever you do until you get the related achievements do not pick it. So after we cleared that move near the dirt and move to back side of the building (another alien in back) then climb to hill.

6. Go to the place with a line of rocks, click on the tree and the rock a couple of times and the achievement will pop “Anxiety – He’s always watching… Even if you’re playing a different game!)

7. Now you will get to a pistol inspection scene. First Safety off (you can check if it is off by flipping gun and pull trigger) Then flip the gun check magazine and test shoot. Done.

8. Now you will get to a valley. Look at swamp area on right side of the screen. Then camp then at mansion. Now go to forest again randomly will spawn a binoculars at this point and you won’t be able to go further from this area. Return back to open area where we were.

9. Now again explore the camp and mansion area with binoculars. Look at helicopter and get the dialogue saying its coming after you. Now go back to forest path. And it will trigger both an achievement “The war has begun – Escape from the forest” and a cut scene.

10. Now be very careful from here.
The first quick time event press “left” arrow key.
For the 2nd quick time event press “up” key.
For the third “down” key however….

(A) Saw helicopter > Go to the forest > fail the 2nd QTE > accept the offer > This will give you “Joining the Force – Give up” Achievement.

(B) Saw helicopter > Go to the forest > fail the 2nd QTE > decline the offer > This will give you “Rejecting the offer – Show them what you think” Achievement. But keep in mind that if you failed on third QTE, (not at the 2nd QTE) you will get that achievement and also the “Dodging bullets – Complete the game without dying” The game will end here.

(C) If you did all the QTE’s correctly that means you are here.

If you are here, please ignore instructions until Route C of this guide.

After the above selection your path will either be “Route A” / “Route B” / “Route C” etc.. Depending on your selection above, Instructions on further on will have several paths to go on. So it will display as correspondence letter on previous instruction

Route A Paths

11. So, Now you will see some cut scene and you will have to decide whether to help Rodion or not. Chose either and after that to pass the QTE with Ivan Press “Right” arrow when prompt. however…

12. We will select “don’t help Rodion” on this path.]

A path (1) -> don’t help Rodion > fail the QTE vs. Ivan and it’ll give you “K.I.A – He was stronger than you…” achievement. If you fail the game will end here.

A path (2) -> don’t help Rodion > *Pass the QTE vs. Ivan You get “For honor – That was a good fight” achievement. To pass the QTE with Ivan Press “Right” arrow when prompt. (The keys might change in your gameplay. It happened to me)

13. It doesn’t end well again right? Even though you beat Ivan, Rodion will shoot you given and “For Honor” ending.

14. So let’s go on the other path.
A path (1) -> help Rodion > pass the QTE vs. Ivan. To pass the QTE with Ivan Press “Right” arrow when prompt. (The keys might change in your gameplay. It happened to me)
and it’ll give you “The Final Sacrifice” Ending.

Route C Paths

THIS IS THE PATH IF YOU SUCCEEDED IN RUNNING THROUGH THE FOREST

20. So now you’ll get a cutscene walking to a village. And sometime later you get to kill the guard or spare.

21. Doesn’t matter what you chose for the guard (If you kill him it counts up to another achievement). Now you get to a point where you will either get a shovel or leave the area.
If you decide to Take shovel > Sneak at finale > check No. 22.
If you decide to Take shovel > Attack at finale > check No. 23
If you decide NOT to Take shovel > Sneak at finale > check No. 24
If you decide NOT to Take shovel > Attack at finale > check No. 25

But if you decide,

Take shovel > Runaway (This path will let you game over) However you can get “I told you to be outside the frame! – Keep you eyes peeled. Something’s not right in the background…” achievement just pause the video as shown above, and click on the shadowy figure to the right side of the screen.

22. We take the shovel. Now if we take the shovel we get another two choices. After we take it you can either run or sneak by. Do not run it ends up being dead. Now you will get another choice. Head on attack or sneak by. We decide sneak by again.

These keys change from gameplay to gameplay. Losing the first QTE won’t fail you the segment. However if you fail the 2nd or third you will fail it, and will have to redo.You have been warned.

Now for the up guard. “Right” key QTE.
Ground guard “Left” key QTE.
Ground 2nd guard “Left” key QTE.

After that you will get a cutscene and later at the grave, you will get “Grave silence – Time to play gravedigger..” achievement.

And then “Cheap motel – Find a place to spend the night” achievement.

Now you’ll get two choices again. Look for ammo or look for food. Look for food. Then again. Look through windows or walk right in. We’ll look through windows. “Cheap motel – Find a place to spend the night” achievement.

Now you will have get to a choice between food or ammo. We’ll go for food. Then again you’ll get to a choice between Look through windows or walk right in. We’ll look through. Stealing to survive
They surely have too much, right? achievement will pop up.

But if you walk right through “Survival instinct – Pick every decision that will get you killed” will pop.

By this moment you might have died by
1. Taking the shovel and choose to run instead of sneaking.
2. During the food supply run, go through the main door. Don’t look through the window.
3. In the ammo and bandages run, wait in the bushes instead of finding the other way around.
dying as above will grant you that achievement, eventually.

However game will force you to select sneak in.

Now another choice. Still look for ammo or skip it. We’ll look for ammo. So now there is a guard.

Another choice. Wait or Risk? If you wait you die. So risk it. You will get a cut scene where you take a hostage and get what you want.

You will now get an ambush after that you get to kill or save a soldier. We save.

You will now get 2 achievements : “Crushed hopes – Survive the final attack” & “It’s not over – Maybe he was telling the truth?”. The game will end here for this path.

23. So lets recap, we have taken the shovel. Now you will get another choice. Head on attack or sneak by. We decide head on attack!
QTE time!
1. “Down”
2. “Up”
3. “Up”
4. “Down”
5. “Right”

After that you’ll get two choices again. Look for ammo or look for food. Look for ammo. Just like before,
So now there is a guard at door. Another choice. Wait or Risk? If you wait you die. So risk it. You will get a cut scene where you take a hostage and get what you want. And you will then it will ask to look for food or go back. Since we followed that in previous path we will select we had enough and abandon supplies. Now you can scavenge for food. Find
1. Cans – 3 nos.
2. Bandage – 1 nos.
3. Water bottle – 2 nos.

You will now get an ambush after that you get to kill or save a soldier. We kill now. The game will end here for this path.

24. So, we have not taken the shovel. Now you will get another choice. Head on attack or sneak by. We decide sneak! So just like before don’t lose any QTE’s.
Now for the up guard. “Right” key QTE.
Ground guard “Left” key QTE.
Ground 2nd guard “Left” key QTE.
After that you will prompt to discard the dead bodies. If you follow the guide for aliens, the next point & click segment will complete it, “Invasion – Find all the little aliens. You can interact with 12 of them. Group counts as well!” achievement.
Explore the inside area.

So after that , like before you will have to look food food or ammo. I went for ammo and like before you will then have to scavenge food. Then like before the finale starts. Game ends here whatever you chose for the last soldier. All lies ending will pop again.

24. (B) Lets recap to here. So you got food and skipped looking for ammo. Then game will prompt to look for ammo where sniper was. You will find “four” bullets.

So then like before the finale starts. Game ends here whatever you chose for the last soldier. All lies ending will pop again.

25. So lets recap, we have NOT taken the shovel. Now you will get another choice. We decide head on attack on this play!

QTE time again!
1. “Down”
2. “Up”
3. “Up”
4. “Down”
5. “Right”

Now we need to hide bodies. Like before, Enter Ruins -> Get on Boulder -> Get Down -> Select “Ruins” and done. After that like before you get to look for ammo or food.
Originally if you select to go for ammo and battle supplies it’ll give you “bleeding out” end.
Or going for food supplies will get you “All lies” end. Whatever you choose here will get you the final battle and choose to save or kill soldier at the end did not effect those endings, I think.

So that is the all possible routes you can get to by “Successfully Avoiding the Chopper” Scenario.

12. Lets recap again. You do everything for “Path A”. And now you will see some cut scene and you will have to decide whether to help Rodion or not. We will select “help Rodion” on this path.

13. Now you will get a cut scene. After that another QTE, press “down” and Rodion will help you now.

Giving you “Final Sacrifice – Was it worth it?” achievement.

INCOMPLETE

New & Misc Achievements

Almost like DLCComplete deleted chase scene and interactive trailer – Inside the “Movies” there’s a playable trailer/demo. play it, that should grant you the “Almost like DLC” achievement.

Endings (Short Version)

Here we will discuss how to get specific endings, as game mentions..

“Bleeding out” :

1. Kill everyone the most lethal way possible. Spare no one. Remember that in the first choice (after the tutorial) you have to choke the guard to death (left option) and during the outpost fight, go for the frontal attack instead of taking them by surprise.
2. Don’t take the shovel.
3. Choose to take battle stuff instead of food supplies.

“There’s still hope a.k.a True ending” :

1. Spare everyone (note: You have to knock out the first guard with his gun)
2. You need everything that you can take with you throughout the game.
(You definitely need shovel for this)
3. Try to avoid fights. If you have to choose, knock everyone out.
4. During the outpost fight, you have to take them out quietly.

“Never” :

1. For this end just die whenever possible.

“All Lies” :

1. Spare everyone (note: You have to knock out the first guard with his gun)
2. You need everything that you can take with you throughout the game.
(You definitely need shovel for this)
3. During the outpost fight, you have to take them out quietly.
4. Look for food & skip for ammo. Do whatever on final soldier. (not sure)

“The Fall” :

1. You have to spare everyone for this ending.
(ends up being less violent. with a gun, he just knocks him out. With hands, he strangles the soldier)
2.You don’t need a shovel. You have to leave it behind.
3. Being stealthy or attacking head-on doesn’t matter, because these soldiers will have to be killed either way you do it.

“For Honor” :
1. You need to take the “alternate endings” route. (where you get imprisoned and then end up with Rodion… the dude with a hat)
2. After a cutscene, you should be presented with a choice to help Rodion or to leave him. For this ending, leave him.
3.Then, you’ll get into a fight and you need to WIN the QTE

“K.I.A.” :
1. You need to take the “alternate endings” route. (where you get imprisoned and then end up with Rodion… the dude with a hat)
2. After a cutscene, you should be presented with a choice to help Rodion or to leave him. For this ending, leave him.
3.Then, you’ll get into a fight and you need to FAIL the QTE
