Are you new to the zombie apocalypse and have no idea what the heck you’re supposed to be doing while you’re huddled up in your nice safe little closet? This is your one-stop guide to any zombies you may encounter on your adventures in Navezgane and beyond!

Basic Zombies

There are some zombies that don’t really do anything special. They’re the everyman of the shambling undead hordes. These, my friends, are the Basic Zombies which you will encounter many of. Preemptively, Radiated zombies regenerate health, and Feral zombies always spawn with glowing eyes and will sprint at you at any time of day. One other quick note: It is beyond the scope of this guide to state exactly how much pain you will be caused if you are slapped by one of these guys, partially because it changed based on too many variables, such as armor, perks, and difficulty, among others.

Special Infected

These are the zombies you really need to watch out for. These are the unique ones, that either had something different happen as their cause of death, or they were something special in life that gave them extra powers in death.

Crawler Zombie

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - A2DBEF1

Remember how I said you needed to watch out for the zombies in this category? You may be asking, what could a tiny crawling man do that’s so special? Well, allow me to explain. They’re small, so they can sneak up on you, especially in gra*sy areas. They can fit through small gaps, even shorter than you’ll be able to. Also, they have a special knack for making your legs go *crack*

Health: 80

Feral Health: 152

Does not have a Radiated variant.

Burn Victim

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - 4AF92CBThese guys were heavily affected by the area in which they died, because they appear completely scorched. They have a chance to set you on fire with every successful attack, but aside from that, they’re not too different from the slim zombies mentioned above.

Health: 125

Feral Health: 237

Radiated Health: 451

Spider Zombie

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - 800D0B7I normally like spiders, but not when they’re human-zombie spider poseurs. They have incredible jumping abilities, able to leap a tall wall in a single bound. They used to be able to climb vertical walls, but they now have an ability that’s considerably harder to exploit.

Health: 125

Feral Health: 237

Radiated Health: 451

Infected Police Officer

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - FACE4EBI call these guys Donut-Inhalers, for several reasons: One, they’re beyond obese. Two, they puke at you as a ranged attack. Three, they blow up when they’re at low health, all of which are symptoms of eating about ten too many donuts. Also, on Blood Moons, their puke is released in a shotgun-like burst. Take cover!

Health: 300

Feral Health: 570

Radiated Health: 1080

Explosion Block Damage: 500

Feral Explosion Block Damage: 650

Radiated Explosion Block Damage: 750

Mutated Zombie

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - 303ECED

This guy is ridiculously ugly. Even the other zombies say he looks like crap. Anyway, he also has a similar ability to puke at you, like the Donut-Inhalers, but his puke flies out of his topmost bubble and spreads out around him like some kind of hork fountain.

Health: 150

Feral Health: 285

Radiated Health: 541

Demolisher

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - FD4087CHe can and will tear down both you and any structure that stands between your delicious flesh and a grisly end, courtesy of his teeth. Deals incredible block damage both by smacking, and exploding. If you hit the explosive charge on his chest, of course. Also stomps spikes.

Does not have a Feral or Radiated variant.

Armor/% Damage resist: 60

Whacking block damage: 500

Explosion block damage: 5000

Screamer

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - 26A9194The Screamer loves to hide in children’s closets like Rudy Giuliani, and only come out when they make enough noise, then proceed to scream very loudly, not only giving the children a heart attack, but also attracting many zombies to the location. (Simply put, if you have too many crafting stations like a campfire or workbench going at the same time, that produces a heat signature. Shooting guns produces it too, among many other variables, and if the heat signature reaches a certain threshold, then a Screamer will spawn to investigate. KILL IT QUICKLY.)

Health: 75

Feral Health: 142

Radiated Health: 270

I do not seem to recall the Feral or Radiated Screamers ever spawning naturally.

Feral Wight

7 Days to Die Types of Zombies - Special Infected - 1F665B2These are the guys you need to watch out for more than anyone else. These are the most simple of the Special Infected, but also easily among the scariest. They can and will sprint at you no matter what. There is no stopping these beasts. They have longer melee range than most other zombies, and their attack power is comparable to that of a Bear. They will not hesitate to rip you apart, then refuse to share their meal with the other members of the horde. They do not have a normal variant.

Feral Health: 427

Radiated Health: 811

Radiated ones regenerate slightly more health than radiated zombies of other types.
